Strings, Woodwind & Brass

Welcome to the fourth Kent Instrumental Festival to be held in February 2026! This year, we are delighted to return to the Music School at St Edmund’s School, Canterbury with classes for strings, woodwind and brass. We hope you will enjoy looking at our syllabus for this year.

There are classes for all ages, including solo classes, recital classes, duos, trios and larger ensembles. This year, there is also an open concerto class where one movement of a concerto can be performed with a piano accompaniment.

Our adjudicator this year is Anne Hodgson. Anne teaches the flute and coaches ensembles at Lancing, Brighton and Hurstpierpoint Colleges and at Worth School and is also active as a performer and adjudicator.

It would be fantastic if as many of you as possible could join us on Saturday 21st February 2026 to make the festival a success. Parents, friends, teachers and supporters are all welcome too.

We look forward to seeing you all in February 2026.
